The Weekday Uniform You'll Be Wearing all Season
Back to reality! After a week away in the Caymans, it's safe to say the cold weather in the Bay Area was a bit of a rude awakening. Aside from the stark comparison in temperature, my wardrobe was still fully on the spring/summer track. Typically, I change things out and swap for warmer layers in mid-October, but with the heat wave and up-coming vacation I was able to postpone the switch.
After dedicating Saturday to packing up my lighter layers, I was finally in the mood to dive into the season. If I'm being honest when I'm not working I normally resort to leggings and oversized baggy jumpers. Which ultimately makes this late fall uniform the perfect compromise between comfort and presentability. The key to making this look more polished is styling a blouse and belt with a pair of high waisted denim. They don't necessarily need to be "mom jeans" just a pair that will help define the waistline.
As for the longline sweater, it's a piece I swear by and one I keep on hand (in a variety of shades). They go with practically everything from denim to leggings to pajama bottoms! The silky tank may not be for everyone, but the great thing about this style is that you could easily pair a long sleeve button-up or bodysuit in the same fashion.
Do you have a weekday uniform? If so what are you're go-to pieces?
