As of late I've grown to notice a rather large stack of magazines piling up on the edge of my desk. All of which are just begging to be read. Working full time and being quite busy lately I've forgotten to set aside time for relaxing with a good mag. There nothing quite like flipping through the glossy pages absorbing massive amounts of fashion inspiration, flagging pages to pull for later look books.
It seems I've always been attracted to tangible reading material and never quite got on the iBook hype. There's just something about holding the actual thing in your hand in addition to receiving a fresh new copy every month.
What is your take on reading, are you a glossy page flipper or a iPad/tablet reader?
xoxo,
Birdie

I'm the same way. I even love the smell of the pages.

I do too, how funny :)
DeleteI think I'll always love buying a new book. And feeling it in my hands and watch the pages go through.

My boyfriends reads all his Amazing Spiderman comics on his iPad, but I still love books and mags, not with the digital age just yet :')
ReplyDeleteLovely to meet you on IFB, by the way xx

Hi doll,
ReplyDeleteI'm with you- I'd much rather hold a magazine than "flip" through on my ipad! :)
And I'm embarrassed at my current (huge!) stack of yet-to-be-read mags. A must do this weekend!

There's nothing like flipping through a magazine. I prefer that to flipping through an iPad!

I can't stand reading on an ipad or computer, especially a magazine!! I loveeee reading a hard copy of a nice pretty glossy magazine :)

I love having magazines and books right now but that's probably because I don't have a tablet yet!

Yeah, I may be slightly biased because I don't use an iPad either! But, who knows it may not be too bad!
DeleteBoth, though I do preder the glossies. I also like tearing out inspiration pages.
ReplyDeleteI love books and I've always been an advocate of turning the page but lately I've wanted a tablet. Mainly because I just don't have the room for all these books to pile up. However, when it comes to magazines I like to hold them in my hand since I highlight and rip out pages. :)

I run into the same problem, I love the look of hard covers when there neatly arranged but, as of now I don't have room for anymore!
DeleteI definitely prefer reading books traditionally, but I could see myself going for digital/tablet magazines - partially because I just feel so wasteful getting my piles of magazines every month that are read once and recycled.
